The Everest Queue is a vertical mountain runner with the energy of an overcrowded expedition: jump between ledges, avoid ice, cracked cornices, wrong-route guides and route-blocking groups, while collecting rope, oxygen and shortcuts to cut down the queue. The summit is up there; the problem is everything standing in front of it.

How it works: Move the climber, jump between platforms, reduce the queue and watch your O2: every jump costs air, but oxygen tanks and clean landings help you recover.

Rules and scoring

There is no time limit: the run ends if you clear the queue, fall back to Base Camp or run out of oxygen for too long.

Base Camp starts with 200 queue positions, Summit Push with 300 and Death Zone with 250. You win when the queue reaches zero.

You start with O2 at 100. Each jump costs 1 point; oxygen tanks, clean landings and some bonuses refill it.

Rope, oxygen, clean steps, shortcuts and summit boosts add points and reduce the queue. Hazards cost control, air or hard-won queue progress.

Hazards

Selfies, ice, jammed groups, wrong-route guides, falling climbers and queue marshals can increase the queue, drain O2 or knock the climber off line.

Icy ledges slip and reduce control. Cracked cornices warn when stepped on and break shortly after, so do not stay on them.

Modes

Base Camp is the most balanced mode and becomes harder gradually.

Summit Push starts with more queue and more speed: it demands rhythm and careful O2 management.

Death Zone has less queue than Summit Push, but more pressure from hazards, ice, cornices and oxygen drain.

Controls

On desktop use arrows, A/D or the mouse on the canvas: left/right to move and center to jump. On mobile and tablet use the three lower buttons.
